Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty - V&A June 24, 2015 20:09

A friend recently went to see the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition at the V&A and she was talking about how great it was. Now I don't want to come across as one of those annoying 'topper' types but I saw it in New York about 4 years ago. However, speaking to my friend has made me want to hot step it to South Ken and see it all over again.

The exhibition celebrates Alexander McQueen's work dating back to his graduate collection and up until his unfinished A/W 2010 collection. I remember being totally blown away by the exhibition. His work is so dramatic and really beautiful. Back at the New York exhibition, there were so many people there that elbows were fully operational as people tried to scrabble to the front to get a better look (I'm sure the V&A will do a better job!) - that said - it was just electrifying.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             The pre-book tickets may have all gone but I'm going to take a gamble, get in the queue and see if I can get another glimpse.  Because while queuing isn't my favourite past time, this is one gig that's worth the time, and the ticket.
