Catalogues, Cushions and Cats January 28, 2016 19:07
January is pretty much over. The bleakest month of the year is drawing to a close...hurrah! We have spent the month plotting and planning; sweating the admin; stitching and sewing deckchair slings, ready for this Spring. It's been great.
A real highlight was unwrapping the parcel from London Book Binding last week. This wonderful company helped us to create our new catalogues for this year. Each one is made by hand and can be found at our Stockists; enabling customers to see the full range of our fabric designs, deckchairs and garden furniture options available. We are so thrilled with the catalogues and have been adding the final touches over the last few days; cutting out fabric samples and mounting them ready for people to enjoy flicking through.
Our gorgeous indoor/outdoor cushion collection has seen a new addition this month with the arrival of 'Little Alex'. These are gorgeous, plump little cushions have brought a welcome burst of colour into our respective gardens and homes.
But the most elegant arrival this month has to be the new company cat. Daisy (or Daisy Duke as I like to call her) is the new Denys & Fielding moggy. She's a fab little mouser and a new recruit from the local Cat Protection team. I think she would have preferred the name Perpetual (a la Bridget Jones). Or Cordelia. Or, to be frank, Hyacinth Bucket. There is a definite whiff of snobbery about her. But she was already Daisy before she came to us, so we're sticking to her roots. Whether she likes it or not...
